Crash into me

Luck was not on my side today, and not in many of my friends' side; only very few got lucky by getting chosen to run the NYC Marathon...
The news were received at first as if no other goal was valuable enough to keep going (not even my olympic triathlon, which is only 10 days away), but then I realized that the experience of running a marathon should be taken as the challenge itself, and not because of the fact that I'd run one marathon or another. If I want to do it, I will do it anywhere.
So maybe I just wasn't ready enough to run a marathon, maybe once I am I will not be sad by not getting picked, and instead I will find the closest one to run...
I'll just have to stop news crashing into me the way they do now...if I wanna run I'll do it the moment I find it relevant to do it...
