Empire State of Mind

We are finally one day before the most waited day of the past months for many runners like me: the day of the ING NYC Marathon lottery!!
It embraces the dreams of many, and the wishes of people who, like me, have decided to finally run a marathon, no matter what it takes.
Since I've heard, read and been told that a marathon training involves a lot of physical and emotional stress, I am planning to do this only once in my life (I swear so), and I just hope such experience could materialize in New York, next November. As a birthday present!!!
So, even when I know that wishing luck to my fellow runners could be like a negative mantra, I believe that in this case we do need luck. Once we are chosen to run, no luck will be involved, only our will and dedication to go further every day, in order not only to travel to New York, but mainly to enjoy the race (in the end it's only 42 series of 1K), and to live perhaps the most important and fulfilling experience ever...
And it all resides in tomorrow; if I am not chosen in the lottery, I will have the entire day to think about that my next running goal will be. Is it that tomorrow my life could suddenly change? If they may, will I really be a marathoner?
Many things to dream about this night...
